Presentation Name: Animal Movement with Spatial Memory
Presenter: Prof. Wang Hao
Date: 2019-06-20
Location: 光华东主楼1801
Abstract:

Animals often self-organize into territorial structure from movements and interactions of individual animals. Memory is one of the cognitive processes that may affect the movement and navigation of the animals. The talk will review several mathematical approaches to animal spatial movements, and then introduce our recent work via a modified Fick’s law to model and simulate the memory-based movement. Some results on bifurcation and pattern formation will be discussed for spatial memory models.
