Invariance and higher invariance of elliptic differential operator has been applied to geometry and topology since Atiyah-Singer index theorem. In this lecture, we focus on higher rho invariant for signature operator associated to homotopy equivalence. We will introduce the definition and computation of it. We will also talk about  how to adapt it to different topological setting.
