In this talk, we will present some new results of well-posedness for the Cauchy problem for the half wave equation with power-type nonlinear terms. In particular, we prove unconditional well-posedness for radial solutions with almost scaling invariant regularity. In the process, we also prove a Ginibre-Ozawa-Velo type chain rule of fairly general fractional orders, which seems to be new.
