Due to the connections between circle patterns (ideal circle patterns, discrete conformal maps) and 3-dimensional hyperbolic geometry and topology, I will use combinatorial Ricci flows based on circle patterns (ideal circle patterns, discrete conformal maps) on surfaces to prove some 3-dimensional geometry and topology results.
