The study of the uniqueness and non-degeneracy of positive ground state solutions to nonlinear scalar field equationsis of great importance because of the resulting energy landscape and its implications to the various corresponding dynamics. In this talk, I will give affirmative answer to this study in the case of large frequencies, and discuss several related recent progress.
