One of objects in multifractal analysis is the Birkhoff average of continuous potentials. How about discontinuous potentials? How about weighted Birkhoff averages? Very few is known about them. I will present some reflexions on them and present one possible way. It is interesting to see that some questions on Thue-Morse sequence lead naturally to problems that we are working with.
