A group representation is said to be self-similar if it has an intrinsic lifting. Such representation naturally gives rise to a rational map that preserves the projective spectrum. Remarkably, it was discovered recently that the Julia set of the rational map can be explicitly described for the infinite dihedral group and some other groups. This talk will report on this progress.
